If you’re thinking about a Cincinnati zoo wedding, and you want to know more about the animal encounters read on. You get your own personal tour with a zoo keeper and private behind the scenes access, which is really cool. I love animals, nature, and unique outdoor events so I’m always down for a Zoo wedding! We weren’t sure what to expect either! They will give you snacks and sneak you behind the scenes to interact with the animals. My style of photography is documentary so I love catching natural moments as they happen instead of posing couples. I loved watching Ashley + Alan laugh as the giraffe stuck out his really long tongue at them, reaching for his treats. The giraffes were really fun and there aren’t tons of rules when it comes to hanging with them. So we had a blast there. Then we were off to meet the elephants, which was clearly a highlight of the day. We were lead to their enclosure and Ashley + Alan were staged (by the zookeeper) in front of a roped off area for safety. We envisioned the elephants picking Ashley up for wrapping their trunk around the couple, but unfortunately for safety reasons you have to keep a bit of a distance. It was still really cool to see them up close and what a fun, unique photo op! Then for their ceremony, we headed to the special elephant pavilion which is so beautiful with romantic lighting set beneath the trees. After the ceremony zoo keepers brought out all kinds of animals to pet and interact with. This is such a fun, non-traditional way to hang with your guests! Ashley + Alan enjoyed their beautiful Cincinnati Zoo Wedding, action packed with animal encounters (elephants, giraffes, owls, and more), a little rain, family, and close friends. These two couldn’t be any sweeter with each other-after 12 years of dating everyone can see they are meant to be! Their special ceremony under twinkling lights included personal vows and readings by close friends and family.
