Andie + Bill planned a gorgeous Halloween Wedding at The Rookwood in Mt. Adams. You know when a couple decides to have their wedding on Halloween, they will be tons of fun. They chose the date because they love the holiday and always wanted their anniversary to be a fun event with friends and costumes. We had a blast getting ready at their house, listening to music and glamming out.

Then we headed up to The Rookwood, decorated in beautiful fall colors with pumpkins, bails of hay, corn stalks, mums, and of course spiderwebs and skeletons. Little fun fact- my hubby owned The Rookwood at the time, which made it extra special. We also later hosted our wedding there too. I’m a big fan of Cincinnati city weddings. Click here to see another fun wedding later in the season I photographed downtown. Andie + Bill decided on a first look to continue the party throughout the day with their full bridal party that included siblings and friends.

When guests arrived for the ceremony they were ready in full costume-an avocado, all sorts of princesses, mario and play station characters, lots of animals (a shark, deer, cats), and masks galore. My favorite part of the day was their special ceremony over-looking the city, under a big tree with a fun fall vibe-pumpkins, flowers, and gourds. This was such  cool mix of city and nature. When you choose a unique venue it really helps with the planning process (and your budget) because you don’t have to add lots of design elements. In my opinion its always nice to work with the features of your venue to highlight them. Choose colors that compliment what’s already there instead of trying to change everything. All guests danced the night away in a sea of costumes! It was so fun.
