The Transept in OTR is a great all-inclusive wedding venue. Get ready to fall in love with this wedding feature with vintage details, all white color scheme and historic architecture in Over-the-Rhine. I love weddings in OTR because not only are you in the city which just looks cool, but you’re so close to amazing architecture like -Memorial Hall, Music Hall and so many others in downtown Cincinnati. If you really want to get funky with it you can even make a few stops at local bars or restaurants during the day or hit them up for your after party. My personal favorite is our bar Mecca OTR of course 🙂
You don’t often meet people as genuinely kind as Katie + Zack. They describe themselves as quirky dog lovers who have a lot of fun doing anything (or nothing) together, which you can see in their images. They’re best friends and spend everyday working in their family store, where they also met. They planned the wedding from out of town, so it was great working with Funky’s catering because they help to plan everything down to the last detail. I work with them quite often at their many venues around Cincinnati, like the Pinecroft, Ault Park, and my love – Green Acres. If you aren’t familiar with their style, Funky’s is known for excellent guest experience and service. You can easily see that they pride themselves on their couples happiness.
My favorite details from the day included everything handmade or vintage! The bride wore her grandmothers dress, altered of course, but this had so much meaning. Many of their flowers were dried florals made by the grooms mother, and there were so many other projects put together by the couple including collections of post-it notes they wrote to each other over the years when they weren’t able to see each other during hectic work schedules. I say this a lot, but I’ll say it again – your wedding should be about you! There isn’t a one size fits all plan, schedule, or venue and I’m all about helping couples create a unique and genuine experience that represents them.
