Choosing the Dress : Bridal Style

One of my favorite parts of a wedding is the moment when I get to photograph the bride wearing her dress all put together for the first time. It’s one of those princess fairy tale moments when she feels so beautiful! How do you decide which type of dress to wear? Should you look classic and sweet or sexy and sultry? How can you find a mix of both? I have a few personal preferences to give you the perfect balance.

I had a great time today with Jordan experimenting with a few unique bridal looks including long strands of pearls, a low back, classic with a twist-plunging neckline, headband & chandelier earrings. Which is your favorite?

1.Accessories-Pair a simple classic dress with the right accessories and you’re set!

2. Cut-There are a million options out there for all shapes and sizes. I like dresses that are unique in their cut. Consider an interesting neckline, lowback, draping shoulders, etc. Think about how you can pair traditional styles with contemporary looks.

3. Drape- The way that a fabric drapes is so important! Especially for your wedding photos. Think about how the fabric moves (and breathes if you have a summer wedding), how it lays on your body, and if its comfortable to sit, dance, and stand in for long hours.
